MEMORANDUM

RE: Flags at Half-Staff — Spc. Daniel Courtney Lawson
On October 31, 2009, I direct that the State and National flags be flown at half-staff at the County Courthouse of Broward County and City Hall of Deerfield Beach, Florida, in honor of Spc.Daniel Courtney Lawson, 33, of Deerfield Beach, who lost his life fighting for our country in Operation Enduring Freedom. He was assigned to the 569th Engineer Company, 4th Battalion, 4th Infantry, 3rd BCT, Fort Carson, Colorado.
Pursuant to 4 U.S.C. § 7(m), as amended on June 29, 2007, the American flag shall be flown at half-staff as stated above. I also direct that the flag in the front of the Capitol be flown at half-staff.
